The BHA Annual Fun Day is now upon us and all tenants and their households are invited! BHA holds this event year after year at the topsite located at the top end of Morland Mews near the football pitch on Lofting Road. This day is set aside to bring the community together to laugh, play games and just simply have lots of fun!
This year's Fun Day will be a special one as it is going to be a fundraising event for the winning charity chosen by one of our tenants! Everything is going to cost 50pence each, so bring your pocket change along as it will all be for a good cause.
There is still time to enter!
Please send in details of your chosen charity to the office by Monday 13th September.
The event will take place on Saturday 18th September from 1pm to 6pm. If you would like to volunteer to help out with the fun day, please do not hesitate to contact the Barnsbury Office on 0207 607 7000.
It's around that time again, the BHA FUN DAY is coming soon and this year there is going to be a slight twist as BHA have decided to make it a fundraising event for a charity chosen by you! If you support or know of a charity that you would like BHA to consider for the annual Fun Day, please write, call or simply email to let us know! There will be a charge of 50p for EVERYTHING and all proceeds will go to the winning charity!
To forward your chosen charity to BHA, please contact Jhanine on 0207 607 7000 or email her at

No more school for the summer holidays! There are loads of things to do!
There is no shortage of activities to keep BHA's young people busy and happy this summer. Over 300 free or low cost courses and events for 3-19 year olds are on offer as part of the Islington council's 'Heatwave' programme. They inculde events in parks and museums, ice hockey sessions, library fun days, camping trips, kayaking and archery lessons. Go to www.islington.gov.uk/heatwave for details or phone the council on 0207 527 2000 and ask them to send you booklets with details of the programme.
Programmes available range from Playschemes and Football courses to Summer universities for young people.
Are you looking for something to do during your summer holidays? Would you like to take part in some activities and youth projects over the summer?
Then we need you to give us some ideas of what activities you or your family would like to do!
If you are interested or know anybody who will be, why not pop in to see us at the office or call 0207 607 7000 and speak to Felicity Singh, our Housing & Community Development Worker.

The National Housing Federation have succesfully won the campaign against British Gas to stop their premium charge on bills for pre-payment meter customers. It is often those who are on a low income who go for the pre-payment option, which is why it was deemed unfair for British Gas to add premium charges. Thanks to the efforts of the Federation, housing assocations and residents, a fairer deal has now been made for prepayment meter customers.
