“Absolutely no decision about this square  has  been  taken  yet,”  says BHA  Chief  Executive  Geoff  Lewis. “The  space  has  a  lot  of  potential and  we  want  a  genuine consultation,  so  that  whatever  is done  is  something  residents  are happy with.”

Architects  East  have  been appointed  to  work  with  residents to  come  up  with  a  plan  for  the square. “We  specialise  in working with local people to improve communal spaces,”  says  Judith  Lösing  from East.  “The  people  who  live  in  an area know best what the problems and  possibilities  might  be,  so  it is vital  to  follow  their  lead  to  avoid problems later.”

The meeting  will  take  place  in the  Barnsbury  Street  square  (by the flats with the new balconies, at the  rear of 9 – 44 Morland Mews) on  Tuesday  July  21st  at  6.30pm. Refreshments  provided.  All  BHA residents welcome.
